The Outsiders is a touring Broadway musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s novel that plays at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. The production features a book by Adam Rapp and Justin Levine with music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival and Justin Levine, and is directed by Danya Taymor, using choreography-driven staging to dramatize the conflict between the Greasers and the Socs. As a multi–Tony Award–winning show (including Best Musical), it is notable for its Americana/folk-rock score and physically kinetic storytelling.
