Water for Elephants is a touring stage musical adaptation of Sara Gruen’s novel that combines Broadway-scale storytelling with circus arts, an original folk‑rock score by PigPen Theatre Co., and life‑sized puppetry. The production stages aerials, acrobatics and intricate puppet work to recreate the Depression‑era traveling circus and has earned major Broadway recognition, including multiple Tony Award nominations. It plays at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles as part of its national tour.
